Frequency guide
7 spectral regions drawn on the analyser: Sub, Bass, Low-mid, Mid, High-mid, Presence, Air.
GEDEON DSP · First plugin
DynEQ 24 pairs a 24-band dynamic equalizer with per-band compression — plus a frequency-group guide and per-instrument advice, so you know exactly what to cut or boost.
The difference
Other EQs give you curves. DynEQ 24 tells you where to act — right on the analyser, in your language.
7 spectral regions drawn on the analyser: Sub, Bass, Low-mid, Mid, High-mid, Presence, Air.
Every instrument gets named zones — Foundation, Growl, Body, Presence… — overlaid on the curve.
Cut / boost bubbles tell you which frequency to treat, and why, for the chosen instrument.
24 dynamic bands + per-band compression: threshold, range, attack, release — one click.
What’s new
A truer engine up top, the external sidechain mixers have been asking for, and ready-made starting points.
Digital EQs squeeze their bells as they approach the top of the spectrum: at 15 kHz the error against the analogue reference curve reaches 7.6 dB. DynEQ 24 corrects it — the error drops to 1 dB, with no latency and no CPU cost.
Switch EXT SC on for any dynamic band and its detector follows another track instead. Duck the bass under every kick hit — one band at a time, rather than across the whole signal.
Vocals, drums, bass, guitar, mastering: starting points meant to be reshaped, not accepted as-is. Save your own — they are plain files you can back up and share.
The concept
Turn on GUIDE: the spectrum splits into 7 named regions and, for the chosen instrument, DynEQ 24 overlays its characteristic zones on the curve. No more guessing — you see where each timbre lives.

Per-instrument tips
Pick the instrument being played: DynEQ 24 shows its characteristic zones and suggests which frequencies to cut or boost — with the reasoning. Great for learning EQ and for moving fast in the mix.
Example — Electric bass

Dynamic EQ + compression + external sidechain
Switch a band to dynamic (MAKE DYN) and it only reacts past the threshold: a de-esser, a resonance tamer or multiband compression, inside the same EQ. Feed-forward detector, ~0.7 ms response.
And with EXT SC, the detector follows another track: the bass steps aside on every kick hit, on that one band rather than across the whole signal.
Monitoring & loudness
A loudness meter compliant with BS.1770 / EBU R128: momentary, short-term, integrated, LRA and peak, with a -23 LUFS target marker. Plus a per-band headphone solo to isolate exactly the zone you’re treating.
